This storied castle on the edge of Torino dates back to the 10th century AD and for most of its existence was occupied by the Royal House of Savoy. After a major post-WWII renovation following a long period of decline, it reopened as Italy’s first contemporary art museum, and has since also become a UNESCO Royal Heritage site.

We were invited to reconsider all aspects of the museum’s graphic identity and communication, and are slowly implementing changes step by step. The first wave includes a series of booklets based on one made for Ouverture, the inaugural exhibition back in 1984, and a set of leaning wooden panel captions for works in the permanent collection.
